Happy Twister

I have actually finished a lot of quilts this year, but haven't had a chance to take pictures of any of them. Once they are done, they get snatched up and put into the rotation of use.  I was surprised when I went into Lexi's room this morning and it was pretty clean and her bed was nearly made.  I told her to run and grab my camera and we would take pictures of her quilt.

This is a pinwheel pattern using the Lil' twister "tool".  Tool in quotes because it really is just a square of plastic with guidelines on it. Overall this was a very easy project although a technique that has a fair amount of waste.  The other main challenge was since I was trying to make it a specific size to fit a twin bed, the pattern didn't really tell you how many charm squares you needed.  It just said allow for the finished project to be 25-30% smaller.  Hmm... I ended up making a practice piece so I could calculate a finished size.  Seems the pattern writers could have done a little better with this.
The fabric line used is from Moda - Me and My Sister Designs - Happy.
